Meet Our Chapter
Welcome to Safe Families For Children (SFFC) of Northern Colorado!
We are a local chapter of a national movement made up of thousands of volunteer families who have opened their homes to care for children whose families are experiencing a personal crisis. We were started to serve families to prevent children from experiencing abuse, neglect, and entering the foster care system.
We desire to empower the faith community to step into the lives of families who are experiencing crisis and step back into the role of expressing the biblical practice of hospitality.
In order to accomplish this, Safe Families for Children Northern Colorado supports ministry leadership teams at individual churches who screen and train volunteer families to temporarily host children in their own homes. Ultimately, this allows families in crisis the time and space they need to address the challenges they’re facing.
Your church can STOP the flow of children into state care by intervening BEFORE crisis escalates to neglect or abuse.
